• Bitwig Studio beta testing begins soon

Bitwig Studio is an upcoming music creation and performance software that looks like it could be a competent rival to Ableton Live.  It contains similar functionalities like an arrangement view and a ‘mixer clip launcher’ (sort of like the ‘session view’ in Live), but it boasts some impressive features that set it apart from other music software, like per-note automation, generic tracks (MIDI and audio on the same track simultaneously), multiple audio events inside the same track and it will be one of the few full featured DAWs that run on Linux.

The software is currently entering the beta testing phase. You can apply for it and sign up for the newsletter on the Bitwig website.
